A Day Around The House

Not much new on this end, it has been a busy week and so we have taken it easy this weekend. I was able to sleep in this morning since Terry got up with Terry. That was so wonderful! I knew I had been pushing myself a little hard lately and really needed the rest. I think the rest helped me to kick a cold that was coming on. After a bit of lunch and an afternoon nap, Jaret and I hung out around the house while Terry went out to do some studying on his class. Jaret was a little subdued after his nap and just wanted some mommy cuddle time as we watched Barney. It was so nice just sitting on the couch together. Right before supper, we had the Rider game on. It was a disappointing game in the end, but it was cute how Jaret laid on his belly on the floor to watch it. And then some more photos were taken of Jaret making an absolute mess with his applesauce at supper time. I love days like this - nice and quiet, just taking it easy. As I write this, Jaret is sleeping and all is quiet around here. All I can hear is the falling rain outside and the tapping of the keys as I type. I love this time of year. I love seeing the beautiful colours of the leaves and I love the smell of the rain and the coolness it brings. It makes me want to wrap myself up in a warm blanket and just sit and enjoy it. God is so good!
