Christmas Decorating

I love Christmas and I get excited about decorating the house for Christmas; it helps me get in the spirit of Christmas.  I decorated the house the weekend of the 14th (earlier than most years) before I did some baking.  For those of you who know me know that I don't love being in the kitchen.  I do okay in the kitchen but can think of many other things I would rather do, like cleaning the house even.  I know - strange, right?  Anyway, this year I joined a cookie exchange.  Yep, you heard that right...I had nine dozen cookies to make.  Decorating the house was my way to procrastinate in baking for the cookie exchange.  But, needless to say, my cookies got baked and turned out well.  And getting the variety of cookies from the wonderful group of ladies was awesome.  The night out with them was a fun perk to  this cookie exchange as well.

Christmas is approaching and I find there is nothing like cuddling up in front of the fire with only the light being from the lights of the Christmas tree.  I love Christmas!!

I attempted planters this year!

I am looking forward to Christmas and celebrating one of the most wonderful holidays.  Praying for the joy of the season to fill our hearts as we begin our advent activities.  As busy as the season can get, hoping that you will have the time to enjoy advent as you prepare for Christmas.
