Weekend Visit

"A grandparents love is strong and deep, filled with memories to cherish and keep."

We had a relaxing weekend and enjoyable visit with Terry's parents this past weekend.  They arrived on Friday evening and we had a bbq followed by sitting on the deck, visiting around the fire. Saturday we went over to friend's Mark and Shea's for short while for Terry and Dad to help put a new play structure in place while the kids played and the ladies visited on the deck.  Then we went for a late lunch at the Farmer's Market and walked around.  In the evening we watched the Rider Game while Mom, Terry, and Jaret had a game of Risk.  Jaret has good strategy and ended up winning the game.  Sunday we had brunch out at Cora's and checked out CrossIron Mills briefly.  It was such a hot day that we decided on ice cream.  And where better to do ice cream than McKays. So we drove out to Cochrane for ice cream.  We then drove home and just enjoyed spending time with the kids outside playing.  The kids jumped on the trampoline where Kirra is trying to master a handstand and Jaret kept practicing landing a flip.  Kirra played a matching game with Grandma on the deck and Jaret played some Uno with both grandparents.  Again, the evening was perfect so we enjoyed an evening of visiting around the fire on the deck.  We have been spending so much time in our yard and love the ambiance of it, the memories being made, and time spent together with friends and family.  So the weekend didn't hold anything really exciting, but any time where the kids can spend with their grandparents is time to be treasured.
