Kirra was blessed to have Mrs. Werth as a teacher this year. Kirra loved Mrs. Werth and she felt so connected to her. Mrs. Werth spoke into Kirra's life in so many ways. She has helped her grow academically and learn to read this year. She has helped Kirra to grow spiritually as Kirra has learned Bible Verses and been touched by Mrs. Werth's devotions. Kirra especially loved the Blessing Jar that was filled to overflowing before the year was up. Kirra grew emotionally and socially as she learned from Mrs. Werth acceptable and appropriate behaviour and to do unto others. Mrs. Werth, thank you for the blessing you have been to Kirra this year, Jaret when he was in Junior Kindergarten, and to all the students at our school. Thank you for the twenty years of service you have put into our school; you have blessed so many lives and not just the lives of the students but the lives of the parents and the teachers who you work alongside. I truly appreciate you; from the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU!
Leading up to the graduation, Kirra was practicing all her songs. She was very careful not to sing them in front of me as she didn't want to ruin it for me. She would just sing them for Terry since he would be away for her grad. I bugged him that he shouldn't miss this grad but that he better ensure he makes it to her Grade 12 Grad. As the end of the school year approached, Kirra and I were talking about Grade One. I joked with her that maybe she should stay back in Kindergarten next year with Mrs. Werth since she loves her so much and she is such a wonderful teacher. Jaret agreed that Mrs. Werth was such a great teacher and began to talk about all the things he learned in Junior Kindergarten with Mrs. Werth. Then Kirra stated simply, "Mom, it isn't just all about loving you know. It is about learning too." Yes, Kirra, it is about loving, learning, and growing in your faith. I am so blessed by this school and by the community that makes up our school.
"So that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like starts in the universe as you hold out the word of life - in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labour for nothing." ~Philippians 2:15-16
