I feel so blessed in my life. This blog is to share those blessings with our loved ones who live too far away to share in the joys we encounter on a daily basis. It is my mission to live a life that is full of gratitude and have a heart that is full of gratitude. Hope that you are taking the time to experience the joy in your life and to be grateful for your many blessings. ~ "When we lose one blessing, another is often, most unexpectedly, given in its place." ~C.S. Weekend Visit
Weekends are typically busy in most households, especially when there are young ones involved in activities. Terry's parents arrived on Friday for a weekend visit. And from the time they got here until they left it was just a bit busy. Jaret had diving on Friday night so it was wonderful that Jaret had Grandma Nettie and Grandpa Geoff in the stands. Saturday morning Kirra had dance and she was thrilled that Grandma could go in and watch her practice for her recital. The kids and I then were out for a bit while Terry and his parents were finishing up our fence. The only thing left is the gate but we want to leave that until we have the deck and landscaping done as it will make it easier for access to the backyard. We are thankful for the help to finish off the fence and it looks really good. Saturday evening, the kids got to spend some time with their grandparents - supper out and ice cream while Terry and I were at the Gala at school. We did rush home after the Gala though to catch the final period of the Flames game. And we were so glad we did. We were all cuddled up (kids staying up late) to watch the Flames win the first round of playoffs. Sunday morning was more relaxed with a delicious breakfast. The boys then went to Home Depot while the girls stayed home and played some games. It was then time to say good-bye to the Grandparents. Hoping that our next visit won't be too long from now.
