Surprise

Tonight we surprised the kids with a trip to DisneyLand.  With the months ahead meaning Terry living in Calgary while we finish the year in Saskatoon, we thought it would be a good opportunity to spend time together on a quick family vacation.  The kids have been talking a lot recently about wanting to go to DisneyLand so we knew that they would be so excited when we told them.  Terry had written a letter from "Mickey & Minnie" to the kids that Jaret read aloud informing them of the trip.  They were excited!  Then they got their tickets and spent the next half hour watching the Disney Planning DVD while screeching, "Can we do that?  Can we go on the ride?  Can we?  Can we?"  It was cute watching them sit side by side watching the dvd and get teary.  But Kirra told me it was just because they were so happy and that they were happy tears.  My absolute favourite moment was when I sat Kirra on my knee and told her that she is also going to have a day where she gets to become a princess complete with a little makeover and princess gown before meeting some princesses.  She wrapped her arms around my neck so tight and just squealed with delight.  Her cheek was pressed against mine and we both had huge smiles on our faces.  I can't imagine if we are all this excited, how exciting it will be next week at "The happiest place on earth!"
