Lately

Kirra had her last day of Tiny Toes last week.  I was so excited that we were able to watch her dance class.  After her ballet classes she would often be singing these little songs and dancing around the house but she really wouldn't show me what she was doing.  It was adorable to see the girls in their pink bodysuits and skirts, dancing around.
"Knock, Knock, Knock?  She's still not there."  And then when "she" was there (whoever she is), they would dance around the class waving their arms like little fairy wings.  It was pretty cute to watch.
Kirra enjoyed dance so much that we have enrolled her again in the new year.  She made a friend through class, Hannah, and they will be in class again.  It is actually Hannah's mom who referred her dayhome to us so now Kirra goes to the same dayhome as Hannah as well.  It has all worked out so well.  We are so grateful for Ruth and the care and time she gives Kirra each day.  What a blessing.
This past weekend, my parents visited.  We hadn't seen them since the summer and they hadn't visited us since the move into Mark and Shea's house.  It was a short trip as Dad worked on Friday (at the office in Weyburn) so they flew out after work and then left on Sunday evening.  As we waited for Mom and Dad to arrive on Friday night, Kirra woke up just in time to cuddle me on the couch as she couldn't sleep and it seemed just in time to welcome Grandma and Grandpa.  Dad was in course on Saturday so while he was busy learning, we were out doing a little shopping.  That evening, we went to Joey Crowfoot for supper.  We enjoyed the evening out and our meals were tasty.  While we waited for a table, appies and other samples were brought out.  Mom, Dad, and Terry found that when supper came, theirs wasn't very hot.  We mentioned it to the waiter when he asked about our meals and to our surprise, all three meals were taken off the bill.  Totally unexpected at a savings of $75.  Wow!  Talk about service.  We will definitely be back and encourage others to consider Joey's when going out for supper.
Jaret and Kirra enjoyed when Grandma played puzzles and games with them.  Jaret played a game of battleship with Grandma and tried to trick her with his strategy of putting all his boats lined up in a row at the bottom.  But, it didn't fool Grandma, she won the first game.
It was a nice weekend visit.  We are looking forward to spending more time with family at Christmas.
