Early Christmas

It has become our tradition to celebrate Christmas with the Tysdal's early every year before we leave for SK to visit our families. We have started going for supper - just the four of us and then the following weekend getting together for a Christmas meal at either our house or their's and then exchanging gifts for the kids. This year we were at Mark and Shea's for our Christmas meal. It was a wonderful evening; we love how well Jaret and McKinley get along and play together. It was great seeing them open their gifts and the fun they had playing with the new toys. I even got McKinley and Jaret on video dancing as McKinley (and Mark as one picture proves) played the new guitar. We figure that McKinley will follow in his Daddy's footsteps and be musically inclined.
Jaret has not been feeling well still. He was sick with the flu last week and then last night woke with a fever. He seemed to be fine this morning but the fever is now back and he has been pretty sleepy and cuddly all day long as a result. We are hoping that he will be well enough to travel as we have plans to leave for SK first thing in the morning. I guess we will see.
My next post will be in the New Year once we are back from visiting friends and family. Praying that each of you enjoy your Christmas season and have a blessed New Year!
