It is the beginning of a long weekend and the beginning of my summer. Things here are well. I am looking forward to some holiday time before things get really busy in fall. This next school year will be exciting and will be one of new challenges. I will be teaching Grade Three half-time and will be half-time Elementary Assistant Principal at Bearspaw Christian School. I am very excited and looking forward to the new role. But, in the meantime, summer is here.
On Friday night, Jaret, Terry and I went out for supper. It was a great way to start my summer holidays. From there we spent the evening at Mark and Shea's and I was very content with all the cuddle time I got with McKinley. It was so cute too seeing Jaret with McKinley. He wanted to make sure that he shared his favourite blanket and his teddy bear. He would go and give these to McKinley and then when Shea or I would move them, he'd give them right back. He really wanted to let McKinely know that he was willing to share - best buds from the start.
Today was a quieter day. I helped my friend Tanis pack up her U-Haul; she is moving to Edmonton. I already miss her but I am looking foward to a trip up there in a few weeks to visit and see her new place. While I was doing that, Terry spent some time with Jaret. Now Jaret is sleeping, Terry is out playing poker with some guys from work and I have enjoyed a relaxing evening at home cuddled up in a blanket on the deck. It was a beautiful evening - so calm and clear. The sound of the fountain and the scent from the candles was so relaxing. We are looking foward to the long weekend and what it may bring.
