Happy Easter

I hope that everyone enjoyed their Easter! At church on Easter Sunday, Pastor Spate reminded us that because He Lives - We Live. He is risen! He is risen indeed! Because Jesus Christ rose from the dead, we will also one day rise with Him and live eternally. What an amazing promise. In John 11:25 Jesus says, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you beleive this?" Jesus is speaking to Martha when he asks this but can't you hear him also speaking to us and asking us this very same question? Martha answered, "Yes, Lord...I believe you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world." How would you answer?

We had a nice Easter. Jaret had fun seeing what his Easter basket held and then he really enjoyed his Easter Egg hunt (see pictures below). I'm not sure who had more fun - Jaret or Terry and I. Then later in the day, Mark and Shea joined us for a turkey meal. It was delicious. And I only had to call my mom once for direction while making the turkey this time, which I thought was pretty good.

I am truly thankful for this Easter season, the time to reflect on Christ's death on the cross to save us from our sins, and for the time with family and friends over the Easter break. I feel truly blessed.
